IT'S WHAT'S INSIDE THAT COUNTS
Architectural context. Not a documented Stamisol installation.
Built on Tradition.
Driven by Innovation Since 1792.
Don & Low Fire Solutions brings together Serge Ferrari's Stamisol membrane technology and Don & Low's long-standing manufacturing expertise, providing two specialist solutions for façade applications: Stamisol A1, classified Euroclass A1, and Stamisol Safe One, classified Euroclass A2-s1,d0.
With clear technical information and product-specific evidence, we help architects, specifiers and contractors make informed decisions about the materials behind the façade.

Hover or tap any layer of the wall to see what it does — from the brick face to the sheathing, with Stamisol at the weather-protection line.
Layer 03 — Stamisol layer
Fire membrane
The membrane layer is where reaction-to-fire classification matters most. Stamisol A1 (non-combustible) and Stamisol Safe One (A2-s1,d0, W1 water-tightness) are specified according to the cladding arrangement and joint configuration.

The unseen specification
What's behind the façade matters.

Architectural context — not a documented Stamisol installation.
A building's external appearance tells only part of the story. Behind the cladding, the materials that form the façade build-up have an important role to play in fire performance, weather protection and the long-term integrity of the building envelope.
As façade design and fire safety requirements evolve, architects, specifiers and contractors need reliable technical information and materials supported by appropriate test evidence.
Choosing the right membrane is part of that process. Understanding its classification, intended application and the conditions under which it has been assessed is essential. Don & Low Fire Solutions brings specialist membrane technology and manufacturing experience together to help meet these demands.
The Stamisol range
Two specialist membranes.Different fire performance requirements.
The Stamisol range provides high-performance façade membranes for projects where fire classification, weather protection and building-envelope performance are important considerations.

Stamisol A1
Non-combustible façade membrane for applications requiring the highest reaction-to-fire classification.
Partially open façade joints: maximum 10mm, subject to product documentation.

Understanding fire performance
Fire classifications provide an important starting point when assessing façade materials, but understanding what they measure is just as important as knowing the rating.
Read about fire classificationsA1
No contribution to fire
Euroclass A1 identifies products that make no contribution to fire under the classification criteria.
A2-s1,d0
Very limited contribution
A2-s1,d0 identifies products with a very limited contribution to fire, with low smoke production and no flaming droplets or particles under the relevant test conditions.
Applications
Designed for demanding façade applications
The right membrane depends on the construction, the design and the performance requirements of the building. Stamisol membranes are developed for use in specialist façade applications, including:
01
Ventilated façades
Membranes forming part of the external wall build-up.
02
Open-jointed façades
Applications where the membrane may be exposed through gaps in the outer cladding, subject to product-specific limitations.
03
High-rise buildings
Projects where façade fire performance and supporting technical evidence are particularly important.
04
Commercial and public buildings
Façade specifications requiring carefully considered material selection and performance.
Every application needs to be assessed against the relevant product classification, test evidence and installation requirements.

Technical knowledge behind every specification.
Selecting a façade membrane is about more than choosing a product from a datasheet. It means understanding the proposed construction, the relevant performance requirements and the evidence available to support its use.
The Don & Low Fire Solutions team works with architects, specifiers, façade consultants and contractors to help assess product suitability and identify the technical information required for individual projects.
